Roger Altizer, Jr., Ph.D. is the co-founder of Entertainment Arts and Engineering, the director of Digital Medicine for the Center for Medical Innovation, the director of The GApp lab (Therapeutic Games and Apps), and an associate professor in Population Health Sciences at the University of Utah. Creator of The Design Box, a participatory, inductive design methodology, Roger strives to include users as designers and to leverage critical theory in developing playful experiences. He believes in the power of translational research and is a frequent speaker at industry and fan events ranging from the Game Developers Conference (GDC) to Dragon Con.
