Olivia Goldman is a PhD candidate at Rockefeller University and artist who studies sensory perception of mosquitoes in Dr. Leslie Vosshall's lab. She is co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of NeuroStorm Studios, a startup at the intersection of neuroscience and immersive media, and is co-founder of Científico Latino, an organization committed to providing open-access resources to underrepresented groups in the STEM disciplines. She earned her Bachelor's from Barnard College of Columbia University, and worked as a research technician in the lab of Dr. Eleanor Simpson and Nobel prize winner Dr. Eric Kandel. She is passionate about science communication and making science accessible to anyone who is curious. Based in New York City and originally from New Jersey, she believes that awe is one of the most profound human experiences.
