Matthew Seiji Burns is a writer, composer, and game developer. Most recently he created Eliza, a visual novel about an AI-assisted therapy tool, the people who use it, and the people who develop it. At Zachtronics, he wrote for EXAPUNKS, Opus Magnum, SHENZHEN I/O, and others. With Tom Bissell, he wrote The Writer Will Do Something, a Twine game about being a writer on a triple-A game. Prior to that he was a producer on games in the Halo and Call of Duty series, as well as a number of educational and scientific discovery games at the University of Washington.
